This machine does the job and is better than my out of date one. So sticking with their size would be the best option. The newer ones have different size filters and I just wish they placed what size filter they use as the ones I have do not fit this one. My Merrell's will get wet, and be out of commission, but I wear these because they have a good tread, I don't need socks, I run through streams/rivers, and I've swam with them in Lake Michigan. walking shoes, even riding bikes, and my motorcycle (not safe) to the beach. I didn't think they'd be good for much honestly, and when they turned out alright, I figured they'd only last 2 months TOPS. Scholl's in there. I've had them close to 6 months now, and have put them through probably a months worth of full on abuse through trail running/swimming/river forging/hiking etc. etc. They're my mowing shoes.
