For reference Im athletic but curvy 5'5 150 the medium fit great. I have 2 pairs 1 in Navy the other in slate grey. Both size M. Grey ones are completely squat proof but navy ones stretch a little at the cheeks and not as squat proof. I would say if you are wearing these to gym, and ordering lighter colors might want to size up.
