I wish I had known about these armbands a couple years ago, when I gave up using the Velcro phone armbands because they wouldn't stay on. The Velcro armbands I tried would either constantly pop off, or the armband would slide down to my forearm several times during my runs. Eventually, I found them to be such a hassle that I ditched Velcro armbands altogether and started carrying my phone in my hand again. With these elastic armbands, I can finally complete a 40 minute run without ever having to think about them. If I were to use the armband for weight lifting instead of running, I might prefer the x-large. According to the size chart, my arm size is right between the large and x-large sizes (15. 75"). I tried both sizes, and although the large is extremely snug, a think I prefer it slightly over the x-large, because it doesn't budge at all during long runs, and it is just about as comfortable as the x-large.
