I used this hydration backpack on a recent hike and filled the bladder about 1/3 with ice and rest with water. The temp that day was in the mid 60's and after 6 hrs the water was still cold and some ice was left so the insulating part worked. Granted if it was hotter, I am sure it would not have lasted so long. The water was also easy to get out and I had no leaks. Highly recommend this product.

After using it for the first time my lower stomach muscles are still sore after just doing a set of maybe 10 reps. I figured I would be doing 3 sets or more since that's what I'm used to with all my other workouts. Even doing pull ups or chins as they call them are easier than this for me anyways. I thought the warning about using the wall to protect yourself from injury was a joke but I almost fell flat on my face and ate it the first time I tried it since I thought it would be a lot easier and tried to roll out from a standing position instead of on my knees as I watched a Youtube video where some guy was doing it without resting on his knees. You definitely want to start out resting on your knees and then push out slowly and don't try to extend yourself too far since you might not be able to pull yourself back since it doesn't spring back or anything. It's hell on your lower abs! Forget your arms or upperchest. It might be working that out too but the only pain I felt is in my lower stomach mainly! Just as effective as doing flutter kicks from what I could fell but without so many reps! I could see how it might not work for some since it works you pretty hard from the start, so you already have to have pretty good upper body arm/back strength, which I do, to even stay on top of this and pushing it in front of you and pulling it back without falling on your face as I almost did the first time I tried it!. This thing ain't no joke! Really didn't expect it to work as well as it does for such a simple looking device.
I love this bag. Took it on a two week trip to Europe, and was able to fit everything I needed. It fit in every overhead. I like the straps that allow you to make it very compact. It was comfortable to wear and not too heavy. I’m about 5’7, I’m over 50 and not in great physical condition but carried this without problem. The opening is great, easy to find things and pack, and the outside pockets are good for a sweater or water bottle. The only thing I didn’t like is that there isn’t a pocket on the waist strap. I had a small eagle creek zipper bag that I added to the strap for my travel documents and a snack, and that worked fine.
