I really love these shoes. These are surprisingly comfortable for water shoes and are nice looking too! The sturdy bottom of the shoe was great when walking across underwater rocks. I wore them kayaking with my kids so there was a lot of getting out and exploring the river and these were great. This didn't present too much of a problem, but I did have to dig a few out when I got back to my car. 5 after reading other reviews. This size was perfect for me. Positives: Great looking, bottom protects feet, sand sifts through the shoe pretty well, slip on and off easily, these shoes are also very comfortable and I could wear them for just walking around. Cons: The only real issue I had was that the heel of the shoe did slide down pretty easily when pulled by the suction of the sand. It wasn't a huge issue, but I had to be mindful of that when walking at times. Also, if walking in a river or somewhere with smaller rocks on the bottom the rocks will get stuck in the tread of the shoe.
